Their thick coats support them from the harsh cold weather. One must make sure they live in the coolest environment when they are planning to buy a husky.

While huskies are capable to adapt to any climate, they can’t tolerate the hot tropical places of India. Hence it is best to get a husky in places where it is cooler throughout the year.

2. Huskies need a lot of exercises

Huskies are energetic and active dogs as they were primarily used for sledge pulling. They have an exuberant amount of energy as they are the breed which can run for 100 miles a day pulling on the sledge. So be prepared to take your dog for long walks and make sure they get enough running time.

When huskies don’t get enough exercise, they tend to go on a crazy short spurt to exert the pent-up energy familiar to husky owners. This sudden behaviour is known as zoomies. While this behaviour might sound and seem funny, an insufficient amount of exercise can lead to far worse behaviour.

The best forms of exercise for huskies are – walking, running, hiking, agility and swimming.
